NETWORK ECONOMICS

Usage creates the economy.

Nine potential fee sources. One of them collects anything today, and it is ordinary gas.

01 · REVENUE FROM USAGE

Revenue from usage

Economic activity can come from real infrastructure usage. Different providers earn revenue by performing useful services for network participants.

Revenue is not issuance. A fee exists only where a service was performed, which means every source on this page is a consequence of work rather than a schedule.

02 · THE NINE SOURCES

The nine sources

One of nine collects anything today. The statuses vary, so each row carries its own badge.

Compute feesplanned
A fee on compute the network coordinates.
AI execution feesplanned
A fee on AI execution and inference.
Gateway feesplanned
A fee on routing work to external infrastructure.
Marketplace feesplanned
A fee on coordinating an order through the marketplace.
Escrow feesplanned
A fee on transactions an escrow provider secures.
Liquidity feesplanned
A fee on liquidity routed between assets and resources.
OTC feesplanned
A fee on negotiated or large execution.
Provider registration and collateralplanned
Economic commitment required to act as a provider.

03 · WHERE REVENUE COMES FROM

Two layers of revenue

A fee exists where a service was performed. The upper layer performs none yet, so it collects none — the emptiness is a consequence, not a gap.

Eight sources. Each one is a fee on a service the network does not yet coordinate, so none of them can collect anything — the layer has to exist before its revenue can.

04 · COMPETE ON SERVICE, NOT ACCESS

Compete on service, not access

Kronex aims to avoid permanently privileged infrastructure operators. A competitive provider economy makes the network stronger as participation grows.

05 · WHAT EXISTS TODAY

What exists today

The testnet collects ordinary transaction fees and nothing else. Eight of the nine sources on this page require the marketplace, which is not built. No rate, no split, no projection and no yield is stated anywhere — the source gives none.
